Ah September, the doorway to the season that awakens our souls. Fall is finally here. For us girls at Little Box of Rocks, fall is our favorite season. Fuzzy socks, wool blankets, brisk air, and pumpkin spiced lattes. What more could we ask for?
As we head into this short but vibrant season, we wanted to share a few of our favorite personal development rituals from around the web. These 5 rituals have truly transformed us as a team, and we hope that they will inspire you too as you move into this glorious season.
Here at Little Box of Rocks, we are big believers in miracles, and so is Gabby Bernstein. Her customized Kundalini Meditations have been among our top picks for as long as we can remember. A Kundalini Meditation is an ancient mediation technique used to awaken the body to the spirit. It taps into our energetic centers and strengthens them, offering a heightened spiritual connection that can often be felt with quite a bit of intensity. Pop over to Gabby Bernstein's website and give it a try!
Hip Sobriety’s circle exercise is a wellness practice the entire LBOR team has tried out, and loves it! It doesn’t have to only be used for sobriety as the exercise is about finding what you want and moving past the things that stop your from getting you there.
You start with the inner circle, and write down everything that is true in your life, good and bad. Draw a second circle around the first and write down everything you are afraid of. Then draw the final circle around the second and write down all the things you want and you’ve been dreaming about. Now draw a line from the center circle to the outside, and this is your path. You must overcome the obstacles through out the inner circles to get to you dreams. (The more detailed instructions can be found here).
Healing Crystal Grids are an easy and very effective way to focus crystal energy with intensity. Simply put, a crystal grid takes a collection of healing crystals and places them in the formation of sacred shapes, known as sacred geometry. Ranging from the simple Triangle to more complex shapes like the Flower of Life, these shapes are known to hold their own energetic frequencies. When paired with our crystals they can have a powerful energetic influence on our lives. If this piques your curiosity, pop over to Energy Muse where you'll see how to make your own healing crystal grid.
In Marie Forleo’s Youtube episode “The Mental Exercise That Can Turn Wishes Into Reality,” she discusses how her team starts their day going around the circle and everyone finishes the sentence “wouldn’t it be great if…” to get ideas and dreams into the air. Marie tells us that its not for wishes like, “Wouldn’t it be great if cake had no calories?” (even though of course we all want that,) but more for things like, “Wouldn’t it be great if we didn’t work on Fridays?” or “Wouldn’t it be great if our message could reach more people?"
Journal prompts are an amazing way to tune in to what we're really thinking and feeling. A journal prompt is a guideline statement created to inspire your journal practice. A few months back we spoke to Alyssa Kuzins, creator of The Journal Deck, who gave us some great free journal prompts to try. Here are a few more we've been using to help ourselves transition to the new season:
· How do I want this season's outcomes to differ from last fall?
· What would make this fall truly extraordinary?
· What would I like to accomplish before winter arrives?
